Helmholtz AI x Mila: PhD Travel Grant Opportunity

We are excited to announce a unique opportunity for PhD students within the Helmholtz AI Associate network to apply for a travel grant supporting short research stays at Mila, the Québec Artificial Intelligence Institute in Montréal, Canada. This opportunity allows early-career researchers to deepen their scientific expertise by collaborating with top AI researchers at Mila in 2025.

How to apply?

  1. Eligibility: Ensure that your PI is an Associate of Helmholtz AI or is eligible to become one.
  2. Research interest: Identify a Mila research group (Core, Associate, or Affiliated Members) that aligns with your research goals.
  3. Discuss your stay: Collaborate with your PI and your Mila host to outline the goals, project, and dates of your stay.
  4. Complete the application: Fill out the application form and submit it by April 6th, 2025.
  5. Selection: Selection will be based on scientific excellence and the complementarity of your work with the Mila host’s research. Successful applicants will be notified on April 25-26th, 2025.
